NSW Gov Promo Video – Sydney the “National Broadband Network Capital of Australia”
Posted on August 10, 2009 by by Valeri
On 23rd of July the NSW government launched a little promotional video on why Sydney should be the headquarters of the National Broadband Network. video
“As the gateway to Australia and to the rest of the world, Sydney provides the best location for the headquarters of the National Broadband Network”
In the video they highlight five key reasons why Sydney is the right place for the NBN.
- Sydney is home to major users and content providers in Australia
- Sydney is a Global communication hub
- NSW is developing test beds to pilot the NBN
- Australias largest Civil Engineering companies are based in Sydney
- The NSW Government will provide assistance during the NBN rollout
With no complains from Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth or even Canberra then I guess we have a clear winner on where the NBN headquarters will be located. “Sydney”.
There is one thing I don’t understand but, if the NBN is another government initiative then the headquarters should be located in the Capital of Australia – Canberra, right? I just hope the NSW government is not wasting taxpayers’ money on it.
