Man reckons he caught a real Leprechaun..!!

Posted on August 29, 2009 by by valerirojas

Ariel Fernandez, a 31 year old man from a town in San Juan, Argentina claims to have captured a real leprechaun and kept it in a cage.

Some of Fernandez neighbours also reported seeing the Leprechaun, which was about 35 centimeters tall, green, had four fingers on each hand and pointy ears. “Yeah that sounds like a real Leprechaun to me..”

The news went all over the town within a few days and when the San Juan Police went to verify the claims, strangely the leprechaun was gone. Fernandez let the leprechaun go free before the police or any media could see it. “what a shame”

Fernandez found the Leprechaun near a cemetery and brought it home, but then let the leprechaun go free for two simple reasons: 1 – the family were having to many visitors to their home and 2 - apparently the leprechaun looked unhappy and a little grumpy!

I have two reasons why I don’t believe this story:

  1. How come the guy isn’t rich – didn’t he find the pot of gold?
  2. What was a leprechaun doing in Argentina, and not somewhere in Ireland?

Massive fail for me, however it beats the story on loch ness found with Google Earth.

The following photos were taken with Fernandez mobile phone.
