Driver does 150kph, another one 165kph – both arrested by Melbourne Police

Melbourne Police were busy last night after the arrest of two men and a woman in two separate high-speed pursuits through Melbourne’s suburbs overnight.
“The first pursuit started in Macpherson Street Footscray around 1.45am when the driver of a ’98 Holden Commodore sedan failed to pull over. The driver reached speeds of up to 150kph as he led police west through the streets of Braybrook and Sunshine for eight minutes.”
Police lost sight of the car but located it a short time later dumped at the intersection of Denton Avenue and Glenmaggie Drive St Albans. The man was later found hiding out at his girlfriend’s house.
In a separate incident again in Melbourne, Berwick police gave chase when a stolen Ford XR8 ute took off from an industrial area off Clyde Road around 3.15am.
The pursuit lasted thirteen minutes and reached speeds up to 165kph before the ute finally pulled over in Ballarto Road Cardinia.
The driver, a 31-year-old man, and his 21-year-old female passenger were arrested. Vic Police
