Police investigating a violent home invasion at Westmead in May have issued a computer ‘face image’ of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

Strike Force Dorward was formed after a group of men allegedly forced its way into the Alexandria Street address on the evening of Sunday 17 May and threw acid into the faces of two male occupants.

The victims suffered life-threatening wounds in the attack.

They are making a slow recovery after their release from hospital.

Last Wednesday, 1 July, strike force detectives arrested a 25-year-old man from Girraween and charged him with the attack.

Two other men are already facing related charges.

On Friday, police conducted a letter drop in Westmead, Mays Hill, Pendle Hill, Toongabbie and Wentworthville, appealing for witnesses to the home invasion or earlier street violence in the area.

Strike force detectives want to contact the person portrayed in the ‘face image’.

He is described as Indian/Pakistani in appearance, about 183cm tall with a very dark complexion, a solid build and collar length, spiky, black hair.

Anyone who can assist in the investigation is urged to contact their local Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1300 333 000. Information can be provided on an anonymous basis.
