Community Group UnitingCare goes Solar

Canberra Community Group UnitingCare today installed a new set of solar panels at their centre in Kippax.
“The 2kW system was installed at the Holt centre as part of the Clean Energy Council’s annual solar industry event, the Appropriate Technology Retailers Association of Australia (ATRAA) conference. The system was manufactured and donated by Kyocera.”
ACT Minister for Energy, Simon Corbell was present at the installation of the new solar panels.
“The key to fighting climate change is getting governments, industry and the community sectors to work together and the generous donation of these solar panels to UnitingCare Kippax is a fine example of that,” Mr Corbell said.
