ImmiTV, sharing Australia’s immigration stories for a year. The department of Immigration and Citizenship launched ImmiTV on the 27th of May 2008, ImmiTV is a YouTube channel where the Department of Immigration showcases the work undertaken by staff and highlights events celebrated around Australia such as Harmony Day, Refugee Week and more.
The ImmiTV channel is sub-site of the department’s online newsroom which posts broadcast quality audio, video and digital stills material..
Thinking on moving to Australia? then check their site out Immi Newsroom
I should point out the Department of Immigration was awarded two prizes for Excellence in eÂGovernment services during the 2009 CeBIT conference in Sydney a few weeks ago.
The Visa and Citizenship Wizards took the top prize of the 2009 e-Award and the eVisitor Services was highly commended.

I love it when governments use social networks and web technologies to keep in touch with the community.
