ACTPLA has announced  a new fast and convinient online system which allows people in Canberra to lodge and track their development applications (DAs), eDevelopment

eDevelopment helps people with their planning and development process from the DA stage to building applications and the issue of the final certificate of occupancy and use.

“eDevelopment will help save our local building industry millions of dollars in time and travel and is part of the ACT Government’s drive to make our planning system simpler, faster and more effective to protect our economy and local jobs,” Minister for Planning Andrew Barr said today.

eDevelopment has been jointly funded by the ACT Labor Government and the Federal Labor Government under the Housing Affordability Fund. The full system, including the ability to lodge Building Applications online is expected to be fully operational by April 2010.
