Bus driver caught twelve times over legal limit

A 54-year-old Canberra bus driver was caught driving a bus whilst twelve times over the legal limit on Thursday afternoon (April 30).
Police officers were called to Kotara Crescent, Narrabundah about 3.00pm after receiving a request for assistance. Police located the bus on the side of the road and the driver was transported to the Woden Police Station, where he recorded an alcohol reading of 0.256, more than 12 times the legal limit for a bus driver in the ACT. ACT Policing
No passengers were on the bus at the time of the incident. ACT Policing said.

Hopefully before he got there. The thought of a driver having a stash at his feet bothers me significantly. Although I guess the net result is the same: drunk in charge of bus.

@ loquacity – id like to think he got drunk on the job…since then it just shows his stupiduty and lack of care for others, because if it was before he began his shift…..there would be alot more people to blame and question. I doubt no one would notice a drunk getting to work and grabbing the keys to a vehicle of any sort..
