Assault and Robbery in Richardson

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault and robbery in Richardson last night in which two teenagers were punched and property stolen. Crime Stoppers

The victims, an 18-year-old male and a 17-year-old female, alighted from a bus and were walking along Clift Crescent in Richardson around 6.15pm yesterday (Monday, May 4) when they noticed a group of males walking behind them.

One of the following group then approached the male victim from behind, and punched him in an unprovoked assault. All three males then began assaulting the male victim, who fell to the ground. The female victim attempted to intervene but was also punched.

One of the assailants then stole the female victim’s handbag and the group ran off along Clift Crescent in the direction of the Calwell shops.

    Why do I suspect there’s more to this story? I’d be willing to bet that the victim and the perpetrator had some kind of history …
