ACT Light Rail – May 7th 2009 Public Meeting

ACT Light Rail - is a community based, not for profit public transport lobby group comprised of members, (both individuals and representatives of other community groups) who share the common goal of promoting and achieving the ideal of Light Rail as the primary mode of mass public transit in the Capital Region.

The next public meeting of ACT Light Rail will be held  on Thursday 7th May 2009 (18:30-19:30). This meeting will be held at the Belconnen Community Centre, Swanson Court, Belconnen.

Key items on the agenda for this meeting include:

  • Tabling of the ACT Light Rail submission in response to Canberra Airport 2009 Master Plan
  • Preview of the ACT Light Rail formal response to the ACT Government’s submission to infrastructure Australia
  • Discussion of outcomes affecting future light rail from the 2009-2010 ACT Budget
