Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Simon Overland has launched a new online news site to keep communities informed of crime in their local neighbourhood and policing issues impacting their lives. Vicpolicenews

In addition to accessing the latest Victoria Police news, people can simply enter their postcode and find out the latest crime statistics and serious and fatal collision data for their local neighbourhood under the site’s My Place application.

That is a great innitiative by the Victorian Police Department, will other States follow?
