    10 Canoes was a movie.
I just find that whenever awards like this come out, they hardly ever nominate sites used by real people.
Personally, I think ABC.net.au is one of the best websites Australia has produced. But the three listed here, I have never heard of.

I’ve never heard of any of them.

And I’m disappointed that my blog isn’t there. And not a mention of Girl Geek Dinners either! Oh, the humanity … ;)

L, you should write to these bastards because that is not right ;-)

How do they come up with these sites? who picks them? it can’t be for popularity right? I mean there are a few chinese social sites that have over 10 millions users or more.

I have heard of moshcam and redbubble but not the other one.

Do we have any awards like that in Australia? I can’t think of any right now :-|

    Valeri,
Australia does have similar awards. Their nominations are usually dominated by sites that noone’s ever heard of. So they lack the credibility too.

I like RedBubble. Have bought a few t-shirts there, and found some cool Canberra photography there. They print artists work on fair trade t-shirts, canvas, or card, and the artist sets their own price. Kind of like CafePress for community good.
