Man arrested for importing Heroin into Australia

A 30-year-old Malaysian man has been charged with importing heroin into Australia, the man arrived to the Sydney International Airport on a flight from Kuala Lumpur on Sunday 12 April 2009.
Customs and Border Protection officers became suspicious that the man may have been concealing drugs internally, the man was then taken to hospital for a medical examination by the AFP.
The results showed the man passed 75 pellets containing approximately 375 grams of a powder believed to be heroin. The AFP said.
The maximum penalty for this offence is 25 years imprisonment and/or a $550,000 fine.
