ACT Information Communications Technology Awards

The ACT 2009 Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) iAwards for excellence in information communications technology (ICT) was held today in Canberra.
“The ACT’s 2009 AIIA iAwards are an excellent opportunity for the ICT industry to recognise innovation, creativity and excellence within the ACT.
“Today’s finalists and winners are outstanding examples of our strong skills base. With the support ofthe ACT Government and the presence of internationally recognised R&D organisations, the level of innovation and expertise in Canberra continues to go from strength to strength,” Mr Stanhope said.
The Award winners list:
- In e-Government: The Kaz Group – for its Australian Maritime Identification System
- In e-Health: CSIRO ICT Centre – for its Remote Medical Consultation and Examination System (RIDES)
- In e-Inclusion & e-Community: Admin Bandit – for its Admin Bandit Online accounting software
- In e-Learning: DPM Consulting – for its Capabiliti Learning Management System
- In Sustainability & Green IT: Canberra Data Centres – for Canberra Data Centres
- Tertiary Student Project: Anshula Mathur, Phrances Xharmagne Caradang, James Thompson and Philip Haines from the University of Canberra (UC) – for the eGreen environmental impact solution
- In Tools & Infrastructure: Intelledox – for its Intelledox document creation and output system
The winners of the ACT AIIA iAwards will represent the ACT at the national level, where they will compete with the winners from other jurisdictions.

In Sustainability & Green IT: Canberra Data Centres or as they should be known, ASI Solutions.
Interestingly enough, CDC don’t seem to have a large base yet. perhaps it is to do with their parent company and its perception in town.

I have never heard of any of these products except for Intelledox, a few people I know have used it before and they tell me it is junk.
