ACT Health website gets a new look
Posted on April 28, 2009 by by valerirojas
The ACT Department of Health has launched their new-look website today. The ACT Health website has a very fresh and modern look, it also uses nice accordion tabs on the right hand side of the website giving it a web 2.0 type of feel.
The website seems to be very easy to navigate and very friendly as well, you can even hide all images from the website and still know where you are and where to go within the site.
They also have current information and links regarding the Swine Influenza Outbreak, which is handy if it ever comes to Canberra.

What, exactly, is a “web 2.0 type of feel”?
(I’m not trolling, I’m genuinely curious to know what people think about this).

Hey L,
I was going to explain more about it but I didn’t want to make this article too techo and boring.
What, exactly, is a âweb 2.0 type of feelâ?
By that I mean, round corner boxes, shading combination for the colours and also:
Collapsing content like the main two content boxes in the body of the site “For consumers and For professionals” they are using jquery to to these actions. Collapsing content http://jqueryui.com/demos/tabs/#collapsible
And Accordion Tabs is what they are using on the right hand side navigation, you click on one of the headings and it shows you what’s inside by other pushing the content under the title up or down http://jqueryui.com/demos/accordion/
I can explain some more about it but I got to run.. b back soon.
