Theo’s Takeaway => Now Open
Posted on March 30, 2009 by by peterh
Saw a sign on Boddington Cres yesterday that told me that Theo’s Takeaway is open. Funny thing is that I didn’t know it had closed. When I went to investigate, I found that the owners were still the same as last time, but the shop isn’t doing at all well.
I bought a minimum serving of chips – $3.00, and received about a bucketful. The chips were overcooked and nasty.
My neighbor mentioned that they don’t go there anymore. they recently ordered a pizza, but found that it wasn’t on par with the old owners, and was very light on toppings. The old theos pizzas were massive, and an actual meal. the neighbor had ordered on the phone, on a friday, as this was the only way to get any chance of getting the pizza, without waiting for an hour or so. When they went to pick it up, they found that they were the only patron there. funnily, the pizza wasn’t ready…
How do you tell the new owners of successful Takeaway that they need to be generous with the clientele, or they will lose the business?
we have all voted with our feet. I liked buying there, but if it is overpriced and not up to the standards that I expect, why would I buy it from them?
 I really don’t think the sign will save them….

>Now Open? maybe they were in beta version before?
It sounds like they don’t really care about their customers. Maybe they should have a feedback box and hear what people really think of their services and then try to improve from there.
There is a good takeaway at the Curtin shops, they sell delicious pizzas, I haven’t been there in a while but they were good.

kambah. the old owner runs the fruit and nut place at the fyshwick markets now. I highly recommend it.

The Curtin place was taken over by a staff member when the original owner retired last year, am I right? If so, you’d expect they’d be making the same things the same way. I’ve certainly not noticed any difference since the change.
As for Theo’s, I accidentally ordered with them by phone recently. Thought I was calling Theo’s in Ainslie. Maybe the confusion over two Theo’s is confusing more people than just me?

bot theos were owned by 2 brothers. they were an institution for great pizzas and service. it is a shame that it has gone to the dogs….
