Pizza Man Robbed – ACT “update”

A Pizza delivery man was robbed yesterday 30th March while delivering a pizza in Theodore.

ACT Policing is investigating an aggravated robbery in Theodore Monday March 30, 2009.

19 year old man was stopping his vehicle at an address in Burhop Close to deliver a pizza about 9.00pm, the man was approached by two females and two, possibly three males.

He was dragged from the vehicle and assaulted before the group made off with a small amount of cash. All of the offenders were believed to be wearing hoods or balaclavas over their heads during the incident.

He was left with injuries to his head and back. The injured man was later transported to The Canberra Hospital by ACT Ambulance.

    thats pretty cowardly..
    those poor buggers dont make much as it is, and I remember when i worked as a pizza hut delivery driver…the best part of the job was the free food and the ‘tips’ i got occasionally, cause the pay sucked and the conditions werent much better..

    When I did this sort of work, if they’d simply asked me for the pizza and/or money, I’d have given it to them.
    Realistically, pizza delivery drivers might be carrying some cash, but almost never more than $50. Amongst this tribe of half a dozen, it wouldn’t buy them a pack of smokes each. I despair for today’s youth. To go to so much effort for so little reward. Kids were much lazier in my day!
