Google Chrome – New Beta
Posted on March 18, 2009 by by valerirojas
Google Chrome Browser has had over 25 updates since it was launch just over 6 months ago, all these updates have improved Google Chrome’s speed, stability, and usability. They also removed the Beta tag of their Chrome logo.
However they have now published a new Google Chrome Beta version. This new version is suppose to be 25% faster than the current version.
The best thing about this new beta is speed — it’s 25% faster on our V8 benchmark and 35% faster on the Sunspider benchmark than the current stable channel version and almost twice as fast when compared to our original beta version.Â
Some of the new features you can try out include form autofill, full page zoom and autoscroll (both thanks to a new version of WebKit), and a cool new way to drag tabs out to get a side-by-side view (shown below) Google Chrome

As long as their web applications don’t break every time you try to do something with them then I am happy.. hehe

I liked it from its first “un-release” (escape really) into the wild.
I’ll have to check out the new version.
Surely it would be hard for anyone to compare to Microsoft. Google hasn’t even tied an OS to their browser yet (oh, maybe it only runs on Windoze so far, maybe it is tied, I smell a law suit …

Someone wake me up when it’s released on Linux? I’m getting tired of the single sentences at the end of every article “Google will be releasing Chrome for Mac and Linux soon.”
